Attaining age 80 is a great milestone and a blessing and on Saturday October 23, industrialist, clergyman, philanthropist and former politician, Rev. Dr. Kwabena Darko turned 80. Born in Bekwai in the Ashanti Region of Ghana, he worked with his stepfather who was a poultry farmer and later studied Agriculture specializing in poultry science at the Ruppin Institute in Israel.

Fast food giant, KFC has signed a partnership with indigenous poultry farm, Darko Farms to supply the company with local poultry products. The agreement will see about 87% of poultry products being supplied by Darko farms to KFC. This not just a good news for the local business which for a while now has been facing a lot of challenges thereby hindering its activities compared to what it used to be.
