Sam George Starts Another Fight As He Drops A Message On 'No Ghana Card No Salary' Directive (Video)
The Member of Parliament for the good people of Ningo Prampram constituency and the main sponsor for a private bill on the LGBTQI phenomenon, Honourable Sam Nartey George has started a new fight against the Controller and Accountant General's Department. The lawmaker has vented his anger on the directive from the CAGD on the use of the Ghana Card by public workers as a basis to receive salaries.
The Registrar-General's Department (RGD) has delisted approximately 2,788 organizations from its organization register for neglecting to record their yearly gets back with the Department. The Controller and Accountant General's Department has reacted to the news making waves on social media that the Department has woefully deducted about GHC 1,000 from teachers' November salary when the validation window was opened. Many teachers were swift to point fingers at the Controller for deducting the said amount of money, forgetting that the Department cannot effect any deductions unless the employee has mandated them through a third party and in this case, the employer (GES) and the various teacher unions.

The Controller and Accountant-General's Department (CAGD) has said that it can't pull out its mandate asking public area representatives who don't have the Ghana Card to secure one by December 1, 2021 or relinquish their pay rates.
