Assembly Members Sue DCE Nominee, EC Over ‘Illegal’ Reconfirmation Attempt
Four members of the Shama District Assembly in the Western Region have filed a suit to bar an attempt to reconfirm the District Chief Executive (DCE) nominee, Ebenezer Dadzie after his first outright rejection. The assembly members claim that the move to reconfirm the DCE nominee is in breach of the Standing Orders of assembly for the approval of the President’s nominee.

Over the years, allegations have been made against assembly members of the various district assemblies in the country of how they take monies from MMDCE nominees before confirming the District Chief Executives appointed by the president. Even though the allegations have since been denied by some assembly members, it is appearing that behind the scenes, monies are taken.

Akufo Addo's DCE Nominee For Shama Rejected Outright
The President's nominee of a District Chief Executive for Shama, Ebenezer Dadzie has been rejected outright. At the close of polls today by members of the assembly present, the nominee failed to secure even fifty (50) percent of the votes cast to even guarantee him a second chance to be elected by the assembly for the office of the Chief Executive.

Assembly member in Shama District have totally rejected Mr Ebenezer Dadzie, His Excellency Akufo Addo's nominees as the the Chief Executive Officers for the district. After series of consultation with the Assembly members the President's nominee pulled just 12 yes votes, 11 voted No, with 2 rejected ballots.
