The military coup d'état in Guinea came as a surprise to the whole world. This is because Colonel Mamady Doumboya was very close to the President of the Republic of Guinea, His Excellency Professor Alpha Condé. It was this same President who personally recruited Mamady Doumboya from French legionnaire to head a Special Forces Group in Guinea.
Following the Coup d'etat which has happened in the Guinea a lot of government officials have been arrested and summon by the millitary man Mamady Duombouya and his soldiers. The Coup d'etat which happened in the Guinea has made a lot of fear about the nation but some citizens in the country jubilated after their president was overthrown.
The Ghana police service has released a statement thanking and applauding Ghanaians for cooperating with the measures put in place by the Police during the Emergency ECOWAS summit which was held in the country. According to the police, the notice to the public to close down some major road networks in the country came in a short notice but the public complied with these measures in such a short notice.
Yesterday, representatives of the Economic Community of West Africa States met in Accra, Ghana to decide the fate of Guinea. It can be recalled that few days ago, a military junta under the leadership of LT. Col. Mamady Doumbouya upstaged the government in Guinea. Borders were closed and the government of Alpha Conde dissolved.
Speaking on Loud Silence TV's 'With All Due Respect', Kevin Taylor shared his opinion concerning the Economic Community of West Africa States (ECOWAS). He said, "ECOWAS is a scam and a waste of everyone's time." Kevin explained that, he does not see anything profitable coming out of ECOWAS.
