There was a bit of drama between two political activists on the New Day show on TV3 this morning. Speaking about the recent increase in fuel prices in the country, Edem Agbana, who is the deputy youth organizer of the NDC revealed that President Akuffo Addo has failed to honour the promise he made to Ghanaians in 2016.

The much talked about Yentua Demonstration came off today in Accra. The demonstration saw a number of unions coming together to support the NDC youth wing to show their grievances against the current government. The aggrieved groups included Association of Okada riders, Justice for Ghana led by Bernard Mornah, Coalition for Concerned University Students, Kayayei, Trotro owners, NDC partisans and a number of other Ghanaians who felt things were not right in the country.

President Akufo-Addo will be remembered as one of the presidents who has won elections with a huge margin in a contest against a sitting President. He went ahead to win a second term and is expected to vacate the highest seat of the seat by January 2025. The government of President Akufo-Addo has been criticized by various quarters for failing to fulfill many of the promises they made prior to the 2016 and 2020 elections.
It is being purported that the delay in the payment of the salaries of public sector workers in Ghana this month is because the country is broke hence, the need for the passing of the E-Levy bill by Parliament.
