The eleven teachers and tutors include Isaac Mborichie of Nchumburuman Senior High school, George Brobbey Fosu of Tuobodom Senior High Technical school, Ruben Aninakwa of Chemumaa Basic School in Mamprobi Accra.

Some Ghanaians have explained that teachers within the Ghana Education Service are entitled to holidays and should not talk of salary increment as a result. Some Staff with other institutions claim that they are only entitled to one month leave whilst others are entitled to sick leave only. The Minority group in Parliament has called on the Ghana Education Service (GES) and the Ministry of Education to withdraw the 2022 academic year calendar which stipulates a permanent semester system for the basic and secondary level institutions. The Ghana Education Service (GES) is being urged to go a step further to ensure criminal prosecution of the 11 teachers, it has interdicted because of their involvement in malpractices during the 2020 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) and the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
News recently went viral that, 11 teachers have been sacked by the Ghana education service for engaging in examination malpractices during WASSCE and BECE periods. This clearly points to the fact that,this operation affected teachers in both the first and second cycle institutions. Regent University College of Science and Technology has been accredited by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) to run the MSc and MPhil in Energy and Sustainability Management Programmes. The Board of GTEC, the regulatory body responsible for promoting consistent quality of service by tertiary education institutions, has granted Regent a 3-year programme accreditation for the two programmes.
