This week has been dominated by the Ejura Enquiry Report. The report has generated so much controversy since its release especially after the family of Kaaka came out to reject the report saying that the report did not carry a truthful reflection of what happened. One thing that came out clear and wasn’t actually part of the commission’s report was to agree unanimously that Kaaka’s death was as a result of a family feud.

The report has finally attributed his death to a family feud in the Ejura district. The much-awaited recommendations made by the three-member ministerial committee about the Ejura disturbances have finally been published by the government. It will be recalled that the president, Nana Addo directed the Interior Ministry to conduct a public inquiry into the killing of two and injury of others during a protest in Ejura following the killing of social activist Ibrahim Mohammed, affectionately called Kaaka Macho.

Opinions continue to differ on the recommendations by the Judge Koomson committee that was tasked by the Presidency through the Interior Ministry to probe the events in Ejura Sekyeredumase that led to the death and injury of some civilians. There have been several discussions on the committee’s report and whilst some commend the committee for a good job done, others believe the committee per their recommendations, has not lived up to the task.
Few months ago the whole country was left in a state of shock Kaaka Macho, a resident of Ejura was murdered. This was followed by protests that eventually caused the loss of lives while many sustained injuries. This caused President Akufo-Addo to call for a probe into the Ejura incident.

This visit is a continuation of his yearly tour across the country to interact with traditional authorities and the people about matters of development. But in this special visit to the Ashanti Region, President Akufo Addo owes it a duty to at least pass through these two places, especially for what has happened in the communities over the past months.
Ghanaians were outraged by the news of the killing of Mohammed Iddrisu, 45, who was popularly known as 'Kaaka' a known political activist - #fixthecountry activist. Reports indicated that he had been fatally beaten and was rushed to the hospital and later died on June 28, 2021 at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital two days after the incident.
Today, Kelvin Taylor reacted fully to the recommendation provided by the Ejura Committee on Kaaka's death. He began by stating that the outcome of the committee had exposed Vladimir Antwi Danso, the Chair of the committee. He disclosed that he initially respected Vladimir not knowing that he was one of the few who could be influenced easily.
The death of Kaaka at Ejura has called for thorough investigation into what actually killed him, of which there had been so many rumours. A team called the Justice Koomson Committee has been the committee that had been carrying out the investigation about the deceased soul. Koomson's report is out and early today (4th Oct 2021) a press conference held between the committee and the family of Kaaka wasn't a happy one for the family.
Family of the late Abdul Nasir Yusif, one of the two persons who died during the disturbances at Ejura in the Ashanti region has threatened to sue the military officers who shot into the crowd, killing the victims. The family which had already expressed disappointment in the Ejura committee report stated that they will reject any compensation presented to them by the government.
Representative for the group of social extremist, Ibrahim Mohammed otherwise known as Kaaka says the deprived family isn't satisfied for certain ends drawn by the three-part panel set up to test the Ejura fight that prompted the deficiency of two lives, as for Kaaka's passing. Nafiu Mohammed, talking on PM Express on Tuesday said the family is frustrated in the Justice Koomson Committee for recommending that Kaaka's passing was because of a family quarrel and not his online media activism that prompted him getting dangers as revealed by the media.
