Good news for Ghanaians, Finally, the IMF comments positively on government policy.

Finally, there is good news. As part of their procedures to formally meet Ghanaian stakeholders and better understand Ghana's needs, the IMF paid a visit to Ghana on Wednesday, July 13, gathering information and determining what the country can qualify for. This came when the government of Ghana approached the IMF and asked for financial assistance in order to ensure the viability of the nation.

Details of the policy as stated in the Fund’s Operations Policy and Procedures Manual are as follows: Members who apply for voluntary exits before attaining 60 years shall attract 50% penalty on their Return on Investment (ROI)  The following persons shall be exempted from the Early Exit Penalty: Contributors with under/or six (6) months to the attainment
