The Ghana Education service has sanction or interdict the headmistress of Aburi Girls Senior High School for allegedly charging illegal fees from the students. According to several reports, the headmistress by name Mrs. Alice Prempeh-Fordjour is interdicted because of charging illegal fees including teacher motivation fees from final year students.

The leadership of Innovative Teachers, one of the pre-tertiary teacher unions has given the Ghana Education Service, 30 days to defray debts owed teachers from 2011 to 2016 or else face court action.
