The recent circulating news that has undoubtedly sparked massive stir, debates and arguments across all social media platforms was when the Ghana Education Service (GES) finally announced the 2022 reopening dates for both government Basic and Second cycle schools across the various regions in the country.
The management of Ghana Education Services and the national teaching council has sack some newly recruited students on the grounds of forging and faking their documents in other to get postings. The said people managed to used fake national teaching council license examination certificate which is one of the main requirements for gaining admission for newly posted teachers.
The Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum has disclosed that teachers’ promotion from Senior Superintendent II to Senior Superintendent I (junior ranks) will be worked on immediately by the management of the Ghana Education Service. This was culled from what the Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum said in an interview on Peace Fm’s Kokrokoo Morning Show on Monday, 8th February 2022.
Teacher Kwadwo took to his Facebook page to ask, what is wrong with the Ghana Education Service (GES) and the leaders of Ghana after he heard that the Ghana Education Service (GES) has introduced uniforms for government teachers. According to Teacher Kwadwo, there are no books and teaching-learning resources (TLRs) to implement the new curriculum that was introduced in 2018.
The Ghana Education service as part of its mandatory service, since decades has been recruiting Teachers to all length and width of the country. Some teachers have expressed their grievances toward the Ghana Education Service for requesting them to participate in an online training on TM1 Laptop when the latter knows too well that not everyone has the TM1 laptop. According to GES, teachers at the basic and second cycle levels of education are expected to take part in an upcoming online training on ICT; the training is designed to equip teachers with the requisite ICT skills expected of them to enable them to use the e-learning resources uploaded on the Teachers Mate 1 laptops.
A letter circulating around on social media has revealed the latest set of action the current government is going to take to solve 'anomalies regarding the payment of Rent of Teachers staying in government bungalows". To solve the inconveniences that are created just because teachers stay far from the school, previous governments built bungalows on the various SHS campuses to accommodate some of the teachers.

The junior high school teachers in the Afigya Kwabre District, Ashanti Region are unhappy with the Education Director of the district for refusing to distribute their already paid Teachers Mate 1 laptops to them. The aggrieved teachers have lamented over the delay in releasing their laptops to them despite several calls.

Popular comedian and Teacher, teacher Kwadwo, who was sacked by GES in 2021 has debunked the news circulating on social media if he get another chance he will never fight GES. In a post shared on his official Facebook page on Tuesday, 15th February 2022 he wrote;

Following the release of the 2022 academic calendar by the Ghana Education Service, a lot of questions are now raised as to whether teachers in basic schools are being treated fairly. The 2022 academic calendar has now abolished the trimester period for the learners in KG and Primary replacing it with a semester period.
Information are given to all teachers in Ghana by the Deputy Director General(MS), Anthony Boateng through the regional directors. All teachers are to participate in a workshop organized by the Ghana Education Service in collaboration with KA technology and Microsoft. On the 21st January 2022, Ghana Education Service (GES) released the postings of these teachers. With this, the newly trained teachers will have to move to their various regional offices with their appointment letters and certificates.
Michael Owusu Afriyie who is popularly known as Teacher has officially been sacked by the Ghana Education Service. In a Facebook post made by Teacher Kwadwo, he confirmed that indeed, he has been sacked by Ghana Education Service. He however didn't state the reason why he was sacked.
Just last week, a letter from the Ghana Education Service (GES) about the sacking of Teacher Kwadwo was trending on the internet Teacher Kwadwo has replied them with a live video today. In the video he talked about one of the reasons behind his sacking which is the writing of lesson notes .
Social media influencer, Paul Tabi who lives in Italy has fumes at Ghana Education Service after it has been allegedly revealed that Ghana education service has sacked teacher Kwadwo. Paul Tabi reacting to the news trending across the country stated that what Ghana Education Service did to teacher Kwadwo is not fair and said if teacher Kwadwo could have been living in Italy, it will be very difficult for Ghana education service to sack him because of good policies guiding workers across the country.
