On Monday, August 28, 2022, in Accra Sports Stadium, the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) preseason competition G6 came to an end, with Agyemang Badu and his new team Accra Great Olympics emerging as the eventual conquerors. The semi-finals and grand finals of the competition were initially scheduled for Sunday, August 27th, 2022, but the organisers GHALCA moved them to the following dates in solidarity with the Black Galaxies game at Cape Coast Sports Stadium.

GHALCA Set August As Top Six Tournament Date, Asante Kotoko Not Ready To Participate

Organizers of preseason competition in Ghana, Ghana League Clubs Association, GHALCA is set to play top six tournament instead of the traditional top four tournament. Confirming the latest arrangement on Wontumi TV, Vice Chairman of Ghana League Clubs Association John Ansah indicated that the tournament will be played at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi, from mid-August to the end of the same month.

GFA, GHALCA wants government to pay the players in the local leagues for three months

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) and Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) have written a proposal to the government of Ghana to support the clubs in Ghana as the club owners are struggling to pay their players due to the suspension of the league.  According to the report, GFA and GHALCA want the government to pay the salary of the players of the various clubs for the next three months.
