Heavy rain at Cape Coast leave patients submerging on water at hospital with other places inundated.

The spectacle at Cape Coast this morning was a sad one after torrential rain on the Friday dawn left most part of Cape Coast inundated. The flood did a lot of damages and invaded buildings including hospitals, and it was sad to see patients submerging on pool of water at the Cape Coast teaching hospital, after the water flooded the rooms.

Early this dawn at 5:30 am, major parts of Greater Accra Region were hit with rain storms and lightening. A few showers are currently being experienced across the city with chances of major rains later in the morning. According to the Ghana Meteorological Agency, the city would remain cloudy the entire morning with a temperature as low as 25 degrees Celsius.

A report shared by the Ghana Meteorological Agency had warned that the southern part of the country would be hit by some thunderstorms and rains. The Ghana Meteorological Agency has issued a notice to Ghanaians of an impending rainstorm. According their outfit today Friday 16, July, 2021, issued a statement which read '' A rainstorm observed today July 16, 2021 over the sea(Gulf of Guinea) at 0900 UTC is expected to move westward and induce cloudiness with thunderstorms with moderate to heavy rains over the coastal areas, and parts of Southern Ghana ( Volta, Greater Accra, Eastern and Ashanti regions), between the hours of 1200 UTC and 1800 UTC( 1200PM to 6:00PM).
