Updates On Teachers Promotion, Salaries, Text Books And NTC Workshops
The Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), have given some updates on teachers promotion, salaries and other issues in education. On GNAT Hour hosted by Angel Fm on Saturday, 27th August 2022, the Ashanti Regional GNAT Chairman Mr. Prosper Takyi gave updates on the above issues.

Good News As GNAT Members Are Given Free Funeral Clothes.
The Ghana National Association Of Teachers, GNAT, for short, has been committed to its membership through various fringe benefits besides their membership dues in every blessed month of each academic year. These extra entitlements, ranges from GNAT T- shirts, special clothes, free cancer treatment for members and many more which cannot be mentioned.

Importance notice for all teachers from GNAT Circles
The Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) has released an important notice to its members across the country. According to GNAT, members are to take note of the following. The issues cover a wide range of topics. The GNAT circle wants all teachers to note that the Promotion portal for 2022 is not officially opened yet.

Teacher Unions Calls on Minister of Education over NTC CPD Points
The Ghana National Association of Teachers in a conference today, 08th October, 2022 at University for Development Studies Hall calls on the Minister of Education, Dr Yaw Adutwum over Continues Professional Development points for teachers across the country. The Greater Accra Regional GNAT secretary told the minister that the various teacher unions have noticed that the National Teaching Council which proposed a Continuous Professional Development Points for the teachers to use to renew their licenses have turn out to a different direction.

A 60% increase in base pay cannot be agreed upon by organized labor and the government.
The negotiations between the government and organized labor to increase the single-spine compensation structure by 60% by 2023 have come to a deadlock. The workers in the public sector noted that the daily base pay is less than the recently established daily minimum wage of GH14.88 by the government.

Ashanti Region GNAT Speaks On Alleged Suspension Of Data Package To Its Members
Management of the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) in the Ashanti Region have stated that, the general public should ignore news making waves that they have suspend the internet data package to its members. The Data package for GNAT members is an initiative by the association to subsidize the expensive data package to its members only within the region.

GNAT repeats interest for 20% COLA
The President of the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), RevIsaac Owusu, has emphasized its interest for the public authority to pay the 20% Cost of Living Allowance (COLA). It added that GNAT actually remained by its June 30 cutoff time, given to the public authority to satisfy its need.

GNAT threatens strike over unpaid allowance
The Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) is threatening industrial action by the end of June if their cost-of-living allowance (COLA) is not addressed. The association says the high cost of living is making life unbearable for teachers in the country and this time around, the leaders of GNAT will not fail their members by extending the deadline given to government.

Cola payments ends in 2022-Ghana National Association of Teachers
The Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) has said that the 2022 Cost of Living Allowance that was negotiated to be paid for public sector workers shall end in December 2022. The GNAT in a memo to its members on August 17, 2022, indicated that the COLA shall be paid in August 2022.

Prosper Tachie made it clear to parents with their kids at school that teachers will not be in the classrooms to teach for at least the whole of this week.

We Engaged With The Employment Ministry But No Positive Response- GNAT
