The Ministry of Highways acting through the department of urban roads wishes to inform the general public and road users of that there will be some interruption to flow of traffic within Darkuman and its environments for a period of one month starting today to 12th November, 2021. This interruption will be done each day from 8am to 5pm.
Yesterday it was revealed that GRIDCO had released a new timetable for power outages for some parts in Accra for the next two months. In the release, GRIDCO cited the power outages to some repairs and this would affect the supply of power. There has been mixed reactions to this as Ghanaians were living with the thought that the era of dumsor was over per the promises of the government and the Ministry of Energy.

"DUMSOR" which means on and off is a term most Ghanaians use to call a too much power outage in the country. This government is trying their best not to make "DUMSOR" tarnish their image but, as of now, this "DUMSOR" has to come on because, it's necessary.
Part of Accra will experience power outage which will last from today 5th October to 5th December to enable GriDco company to do their neccessary restructuring of power loads within Accra townships. This activity that will last for two good months , from October to December will affect daily activities for livelihood for people living in some part of Accra.
The electricity of Ghana started a load shedding exercise for communities who receive electricity from the Pokuase bulk supply point, these communities were placed in different groups to properly streamline the interruption of power.Some residents and business owners who were affected shared their experiences on how they have been greatly affected by this exercise and called to the Electricity Company of Ghana not to extend the load shedding exercise.

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has finally announced the end of the eight-day power outage (dumsor) in some parts of Accra. The Electricity Company of Ghana, in collaboration with the Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo), declared a power outage in some parts of the country for eight days, beginning on Monday, May 10th, and ending on Saturday, May 17th, 2021.
Ghana Grid Company, GRIDCO has made it known to Ghanaians about its intent to cut off power supply in certain areas of Accra to enhance it's operations. They said this exercise is going to strengthen power supply activities in Ghana to enhance productivity.
