A woman has been confirmed dead with two others hospitalized at the Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital after a Nissan Pick-up truck run into a cargo truck. The accident occurred along the Gomoa Mpota road in the Central Region. Narrating the incident to Citinews, the Municipal Fire Officer for Winneba, Divisional Officer Grade 1, Henry Asiedu, said a Nissan pick-up truck travelling from Cape coast to Weija burst one of its tyres causing the driver to lose control and run into a truck parked along the shoulders of the road.
The incident happened a mile away from the Adensu river, where the speed ramp is not far from the bridge on the cape coast road, on the 22nd of August 2021. The two buses collided at the junction of Apostle Kojo Sarfo at Gomoa, it was two youtong buses which had the accident.
