Indomie And MoMo Are The Major Cause of Teenage Pregnancy In Suhum Municipality- Hon. Margaret Darko
Teenage pregnancy is on the rise in the Suhum Municipality despite several interventions by government and NGOs to curb the menace, the Municipal Chief Executive of Suhum Madam Magret Darko has disclosed. She said a new study conducted by the Ghana health Service, Social Welfare and other Non-Govermental Organization (NGOs) have found out that young girls love for indomie and mobile money (MoMo) are the root cause of teenage pregnancy in the Suhum Municipality of the Eastern Region.
The Food and Drugs Authority has issued an important public notice on indomie instant noodles. According to the state agency responsible for the safety of food, drugs and other consumables in the country, some countries have started recalling a particular brand of indomie due to the presence of high levels of aflatoxins and pesticides in it.
