Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) has been one of Ghana government's agency that has over the years become a liability, rather than an asset. It is always in the new for only the wrong reasons. A factory that was built to refine crude oil has now turned into only a storage facility and a cash cow for corrupt politicians.
On 4th September 2021, 105,927 litres of Gas oil which belongs to Bulk- Distributing Companies (BDC) client have gone missing at the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR). As a result of that, The Interim Management Committee (IMC) has began investigations into product storage and transfer losses to expose the culprits behind the crime.
Ghana Economy recently as reported by our news medias was hit with a huge loss as 105, 927 litres of fuel strive missing.. In response to this, the Interim Management Committee (IMC) of the Tema Oil Refinery has interdicted some staffs following 105,927 Liters of Fuel which has been reported missing.
The Interim Management Committee (IMC) of Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) Limited has issued a press release dated October 5, 2021. The press release states that the IMC of the state-owned company has commenced investigations into product losses at TOR. The aim of the investigations is to eradicate or eliminate product losses at TOR to the barest minimum and to enable TOR to realize its vast potential, the press release stated.
The Interim Management of the Tema Oil Refinery have commenced investigations into the disappearance of some 105,927 liters of fuel belonging to one of its BDC Client. The liters of fuel got missing on September 4, 2021. According to the Interim Management Committee, (IMC) of the Tema Oil Refinery, "some numbers constituting to the staff who holds various positions of responsibility with respect to the transfer of products have been queried and interdicted, pending the outcome of investigations".
One issue that has since yesterday caught the attention of many is the news about the disappearance of some litres of fuel from Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) Limited. According to a press release dated October 5, 2021, the Interim Management Committee of TOR has began investigations into product storage and transfer losses at the industry.
Wednesday, 6th October 2021 The Interim Management Committee (IMC) of Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) has commenced investigation into some product loses to the state owned company. According to a statement issued by TOR yesterday, the company said it lost various products including but not limited to liquified petroleum gas (LPG), aviation fuel, Gas oil and electrical cables between April and September 2021.
