C/R: Illegal Gambler Jailed 9 Good Months
A 29-year-old businessman arrested at the Fosu Municipal lorry station for illegal gambling has been jailed nine-months by the Assin-Fosu District Court. The convict, Isaac Eyison pleaded guilty to the changes of illegal gaming in public and operating a game of chance without a license. Prosecution The Chief Inspector Gilbert Ayongo told the court presided over by Mr. Abdul Majeed Illiasu that, the convict was arrested due to intensified police patrols to clamp down on some festering illegal activities in the area.
Entrepreneur who engaged in illicit gambling is sentenced
The Assin-Fosu District Court sentenced businessman Isaac Eyison, 29, to nine months in prison for participating in illicit gaming. The suspect was accused with illegal gambling in public and running a game of chance without a license after being apprehended at the Assin Fosu Municipal truck stop.
