The Deputy Minister for Finance, John Ampontuah Kumah has stated that the Minority in Parliament’s allegations regarding the cost of Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company’s (BOST) twin tower construction are untrue. According to him, the initial cost of the project at US$35 million was established by the erstwhile administration in 2015, however, in 2017 when the current government took over, “the new Management of BOST noticed various procurement infractions and malfeasance associated with the original contract awarded for the construction of the twin towers which compelled it to write to EOCO, PPA requesting for a value for money audit on the project”.
