A woman has beaten the Deputy Attorney General to win the Tempane constituency Parliamentary seat.

Tempane Constituency in the Upper East Region has released, Provisional results for both Presidential and Parliamentary elections and show that the current New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) and also a Deputy Attorney General, Mr Joseph Dindiok Kpemka has lost his seat to a lady. Although Mr. Joseph Kpemka polled 16,462 votes in the elections he still lost against 20,939 votes gained by the National Democratic Congress parliamentary candidate of the area, Miss. Lydia Akanvariba Lamisi.
