Kamou Malo, a former police officer, has signed a contract with Senegal AS Douanes, the Dakar-based football team moved quickly to sign the seasoned coach before Kumasi Asante Kotoko. According to Ghanaian media, talks have been ongoing between the administrations of Kumasi Asante Kotoko since Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum opted to resign from his post at the club.
Asante Kotoko may have to look elsewhere for another coach after viral pictures show incoming coach Kamou Malo in the premises of another club in Burkina Faso. Asante Kotoko have been heavily linked with the former Burkina Faso head coach with a deal expected to be reached between the two parties.
Following the imminent departure of coach Prosper Ogum, Ghana Premier League champions Asante Kotoko will be having a new technical structure for the upcoming season. A new head coach will come on board with Abdulai Gazali to be elevated to the assistant coach position, reports have hinted.
