A male student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has accounted on what he describes as acts of wrecking a havoc and hooliganism perpetrated by some members of the University Hall,Katanga. Pouring his heart out his Twitter post he made emphasis on Management of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology spelling out any disciplinary actions amidst the Katanga hall growing from just a fraternity of college boys to a full-blown cult.

Students in the University Hall(Katanga) and Unity Hall(Conti) both in the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) have gained a country- wide notoriety for students rivalry which sometimes degenerates into chaotic disturbances and violent clashes. Earlier in the week, the Ashanti Regional Minister and Chairman of the Ashanti Regional Security Council, Mr Simon Osei Mensah issued a statement directing all students to vacate the school premises latest by midday on Saturday, September 18th 2021.
Following the violent incident that occurred on the 4th of July, 2021 at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), the clash between the two rivalry halls, the Unity hall popularly known as Conti and the University Hall, popularly known as Katanga, The university administration set up a committee to thoroughly investigate the matter and make appropriate recommendations for the considerations of the authority.
Information coming in from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) is that SRC vetting last night turned chaotic leaving some students seriously injured. According to TV3's William Evans Nkum report monitored by CitizenOne, the disturbances commotion was between Unity and Katanga halls. He said information he had received was still scanty, the Students Representative Council was conducting vetting for applicants for various executive positions in the university.

This news comes as a result of a clash between the only two former all-male halls in the school, The University Hall (Katanga) and The Unity Hall (Conti) leading to one person sustaining a minor injury.

Yesterday at the famous great hall auditorium of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) was a very bloody conflict between two of the most popular halls in the university, Continental hall and Katanga Hall.
A commotion between students of unity Hall and Katanga hall has led to the destruction of several properties and scores of the students injured. In a video posted on Facebook by one of Ghana's foremost media houses Adom FM ,the irrate students could be seen holding sticks and other items that were been used to visit mayhem on one another.
Following a battle between members of the University Hall nicknamed Katanga and Unity Hall aka Conti on Sunday, a number of students at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) have suffered various degrees of injuries. Students also vandalized school property, such as chairs and glasses.
Management of Kwame Nkrumah University of science and technology has released a public notice to inform the entire students the precise date which they have to vacate from the traditional halls. The letter was released to the entire students and the University community on Tuesday, September 14,2021 to inform them to leave the various hall such as Conti ,Katanga ,Republic hall, ,Africa hall,Queens hall and independence Hall as well as the hostels owned by the University including SRC hostel , Chancellor's Hall,baby Brunei, New Brunei, complex and etc.
