Director of Administration at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, Fred Effah Yeboah has disclosed to Awuni Akyireba, the Certified Chartered Forensic Accountant and a member of staff of the hospital who petitioned CHRAJ over COVID fund misappropriation is currently before the disciplinary committee of the institution. According to him, the petitioner never used the internal channel in going about his allegations, an action that goes against the code of conduct of the hospital.

The disciplinary committee of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in the Ashanti region has fired its accounts officer, Awuni Akyireba who Alleged that the hospital has misused COVID-19 donations. According to the disciplinary committee of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, Mr. Awuni Akyireba has breached its code of conduct and his allegations are falsehood and have no basis which is an act of misconduct.

Family of Robbery Victim prevents doctors from amputating his leg.

The family of one of the victims of the Manso Mossikrom robbery have prevented doctors at the Komfo Anokye Teaching hospital from performing surgery in order to amputate his leg and prevent further damage. Speaking to Nhyira Fm, the Police Commander of Manso Adubea, ASP Felix Akowuah said, two of the victims who were wounded were initially rushed to the St. Martin's Catholic Hospital at Agroyesum for treatment but due to the injuries of one of the victims, he was referred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital where doctors informed the family a surgery to amputate his leg may have to be performed as soon as possible to prevent further damage but the family declined.
