Friday, August 20 2021 Troops from the 48th Engineer Regimen of the Ghana Armed Forces have been deployed to three districts in the Upper West region to help manage the devastating flooding situation in the areas. The role of the millitary will be to create access routes in the Nadowli-Kaleo district, Jirapa district and the Lawra municipality.

The Municipal Chief Executive for Lawra, Hon.Martin Domotiere Bomba-ire, early this week donated relief items to Brifoh SHS to support the affected students in last Friday, 21st April, 2021 fire disaster in the school.The donation came after he in collaboration with the Ghana Education directorate and the school authorities successfully relocated the affected students to the private hostel while the 13 badly hit ones were supported with lorry fares to go home for a week.

Member of Parliament for Lawra in the Upper West Region, Hon.Bede Ziedeng, has attracted the anger of his constituents after he has made a donation of 150 bags sachet of water to Students of Brifoh Senior High School Following a fire outbreak that destroyed properties.The fire which started in the morning of Friday [April 23] damaged the School’s girls dormitory displacing over 60 students who also lost personal belongings and education materials.
