Her time of delivery had passed for two weeks and was being prepared by the mother to deliver safely at the hospital when the time is due. She was healthy and decided to go for her usual morning walk when unknown men whisked her away.
News coming in from a Takoradi based Empire FM indicates that the 28-year-old pregnant woman, Josephine Panyin Mensah has confessed that she was not pregnant and that she sincerely apologize to all persons including her husband, Michael Simmons who honestly believed that she was pregnant. According to the report, Josephine Panyin Mensah Simmons confessed to some medical and investigative officers at the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Government Hospital in the Western Region that she was not pregnant with uncontrollable tears and apologies to her sympathizers.

The Western Regional Minister, Mr. Kwabena Okyere Darko- Mensah has told journalists this morning that doctors have confirmed the missing and found Takoradi woman was not pregnant. According to Mr. Okyere-Darko, the doctor found no sign of pregnancy on her. What is even baffling is the fact that the doctor added that medical examinations conducted on the woman, Josephine Panyin Mensah shows no sign of someone who has given birth either.
The recent news making waves on the internet is that the Mother and Husband of the alleged victim of kidnapping case in Takoradi have been arrested by the police. The police have arrested husband and mother of the supposed nine- month pregnant woman Josephine Mensah Panyin Simpson who was allegedly kidnapped a week ago when she went for a walk in Takoradi.
The was a public outcry when it was reported that Josephine, a pregnant woman was missing. Josephine's husband, Michael Simmons reported on the 17th of this month that his wife who went for her routine walk at 5 am couldn't be found. There was a suspicion of another kidnapping in the region when the ladies' mother confirmed she was called by someone demanding a ransom for her daughter.
