Minority MPs have moved to quickly distance themselves from utterances made by the Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu, that he has been convinced to accept the proposal made by Government in the 2022 budget to impose 1.75 percent levy on mobile money subscribers who make transaction beyond a hundred cedis.
Confusion has set in the camps of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) over the proposed Electronic Transaction Levy (E-Levy) following the admission by the Tamale South legislator, Harruna Iddrisu that the proposal by the government is justified. Two leading members of the party, Sam Nartey George, the Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, and Ras Mubarak, the former parliamentarian for Kumbungu have vented their disapproval of the divergence Haruna Iddrisu had taken to what the Minority have argued since the 2022 Budget Statement and Economic Policy was read.

First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Joe Osei Owusu has ruled that "a deputy speaker of Parliament is not the speaker of Parliament, therefore, he has the right to be counted in the determination of whether or not there is a quorum for sitting. His ruling followed a heated debate on the floor of Parliament by both sides of the House.

A thirty one year old has met his untimely death after a building collapses on him while asleep. According to the report, the man sadly dies after he sustain a severe injuries while he was under the collapsed building. The Assembly of Bibiani area, Mr. Mubarak Zakaria reporting this news to Adom FM said, the father of the deceased who was part of the incident was rescued but at that moment the father was not able to talk to them in order to show them his son.
