The Minister of Finance, Mr Ken Ofori Atta has announced new measures aimed at increasing revenue generation of government. Presenting the 2022 budget in Parliament on Wednesday, 17 November, 2022, Mr Ken Ofori Atta announced a 1.75% levy on all electronic transactions including mobile money transactions.
Sunday, 14th November 2021 The minister for information Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has announced that, the next budget has some good news for all NaBCO recruits. He made this known on UTV on Saturday at a program dubbed 'Mpu ne mpu'. He told Afia Pokua Vim Lady that, John Mahama had no moral right to question the Government on unemployment.
The Nations Builders Corps ended last month. The scheme has been in existence for 3 years and has been a means of employment for many young graduates. By the time the programme ended, about 49,000 people have been given permanent jobs with others also acquiring different skills for the job market.
Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, the Minister for Education The Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum has revealed that teachers from the various public universities reading education programmes will be recruited to come next year. The Member of Parliament for Bosomtwe Constituency disclosed on Wontumi TV today during an interview with Oheneba that the Ghana Education Service will start recruiting graduate teachers around January and February 2022.
A news reaching us has it that, the young man who was on The Nation Builders Corps [NABCO] has been fired by his Landlord for not paying his rent. According to a source captured by AfricaWish, the alleged Co-NABCo member was owing his landlord and never comes home on time also, leaving the house before everyone was awake after the house owner served him with a notice for unpaid bills.
We all know her to be an entertainer, show host and television presenter. The Nations Builders Corps(NABCO) is a government program introduced by the Akuffo Addo led government to tackle the issue of graduate unemployment in the country, the program absorbed 100,000 unemployed graduates. There are seven modules which graduates are to choose from, namely Enterprise,Feed,Civic,Educate,Digitize,Revenue and Heal Ghana.
Employment has been a major problem in the country. Successive governments have all failed to solve this issue despite the many promises that they make prior to elections. In a desperate bid to solve the unemployment crises, the NPP introduced the Nation Builders Corps to help give jobs to young graduates.
The C.E.O of Nations Builders Corps(NABCO), Dr. Ibrahim Anyars in an interview with Umaru Sanda Amadu on Citi TVs face to face outlined what the plan is for Nabco Trainees who exited the program this October. In the interview they discussed the reason why Nabco was created i.e to tackle graduate unemployment and for the graduates to enrich their CVs with much needed work experience.
The Chief Executive Officer for the Nation's Builders Corps, Dr. Ibrahim Anyars will be interviewed live on Citi TV this evening. The Nation Builders Corps program was initiated by the Npp government to curb graduate unemployment lapses in the country, however the program was officially launched in May 2018 with seven modules namely, Civic Ghana, heal Ghana, digitize Ghana, feed Ghana, revenue Ghana, enterprise Ghana and educate Ghana.
The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, on Tuesday, 1st May, 2018, launched the Nation Builders Corps (NABCO). Since then it has been in operation till date. The fate of the employees in NABCO seems to be unknown but there have been promise by government to make them permanent.
The National Secretariat of Nation Builders Corps Headed by Dr. Ibrahim Anyars has informed Trainees in an Official Communique to return to post whilst the process documents to make them permanent. The Communique was released on the Official NABCO social Median hand and it added that new trainees will be recruited in 2022 to conine with the policy.
Most unemployed graduates in Ghana are expecting to be employed into the Nations Builders Corbs (NABCO) Initiative. But before these desperate and unemployed graduates get employed, the old or already existing NABCO workers will have to leave or be employed permanently into the public service. Fortunately, the over 90,000 NABCO workers maybe be absorbed by the Public Sector.
Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta is expected to deliver the 2022 budget in parliament on Wednesday 17 November 2021. The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) have been roaring at some possible increment in taxes and introduction of new ones. More to this was the huge pessimism about employment opportunities that the Akufo-Addo government promised in 2020, especially when some communications were sent to personnel of the Nation Builders' Corp (NaBCo) to vacate their post until further notice is given.
Mondo, 15th November 2021 NaBCO Personnel have been directed by Government to remain at post and perform their duties as prescribed until further notice, a statement from government tonight indicates. According to the notice which was issued from NaBCO headquarters on 15th November, the decision followed a crunch meeting between the Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and top government officials, CEO of NaBCO and other stakeholders today, 15th November 2021.
Following a letter Issued by NABCO Headquarters ( Nation Builders Corps) on November 15th 2021, the Honorable Chief of Staff of the republic of Ghana has directed NABCO Trainees to remain at post pending permanent Job Arrangements. The statement states that, "Following a high-level Stakeholder meeting with the lead NABCO Module Implementation Partners (MIPS) led by His Excellency the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana and The Honorable Chief of Staff, all NABCO trainees are required to remain at post".
The gloomy fate of all the trainees in the Nation Builders Corpse, NABCO, is about to change into a brighter lovely smiles as all the affected persons have been asked to remain at post. At the end of October 2021, the three (3) year engagement of graduates onto the temporal scheme came to an end, and by a notice sent to the beneficiaries, the contract officially was terminated.
The NABCO program is often underrated and even ridiculed but as an entrepreneur, the NABCO program has been a life saver to my business. I arrived in Ghana in 2019 to restart Incas Diagnostics after failed attempts in 2016 and 2018. Thé FDA after an initial inspection had made recommendations including staffing needs and I needed to employ a minimum number of people.
The central government says it is considering a one-year contract extension for the about 67,000 beneficiaries of the Nation Builders Corps (NABCO) who currently have not secured jobs and ended their three-year service this year. Presenting the 2022 budget on Wednesday, the Minister for Finance, Hon Ken Ofori-Atta said the YouStart program and a Digital inclusion program will gradually absorb NABCO recruits in batches during the next fiscal.
As has been published widely,the NABCO program came to an end this past October,one of the problems facing beneficiaries was the uncertainty surrounding their permanent posting,the trainees were directed to go home and be a part of the talent pool where the MIPs will hire from.
