Ghana's National Service Scheme is a one- year madatory employment program for all tertiary graduates under the age of 40. National service personnels in recent times complains about the current allowance they get for their service. They are opting for an increase to GHC800. The deputy director has also explained that they are working to increase the amount beyond the amount they are seek for. Speaking to Joy News, Gifty Owusu-Mensah, the deputy director of the National Service Scheme (NSS) explained that plans are in place to increase the monthly allowance of service personnels from the current GHC599.
