The people of Akoase and Pankese in the Birim North District have been thrown into a state of shock and fear after the decayed body of a young boy in the area was found in a nearby forest. The young boy who recently completed SHS is by the name of Kwame Eugene and was a resident of Krobogwaso in Akoase in the Eastern region.

A young man resident in Akyem Afosu in the Birim North District in the Eastern region has been shot to death by some unknown persons. The young man was illegally cutting down trees at night in the Oseikrom forest in the area. He was there together with other persons when a gun was shot in the air.

A gory accident has occurred at Adeiso near Nsawam in the Eastern region in which 5 persons have died including an 8-month-old baby. The Nissan bus was from New Abirem and headed to Accra. According to the New Abirem station master, Master Nuhu, when the bus got to a filling station at Adeiso on the Accra Kumasi highway, it hit a deep pothole on the road and as a result of the speed it was moving at, one of its tires burst.
