With much anticipation and high hopes from schools commencing the “Day One” of the One-eighth Stage of National Science and Maths Quiz ( NSMQ ) took place. As the fixtures of the One-eighth Stage were balloted last week, 21 schools were expected to start off the One-eighth Stage. Omanhene For New Juaben Traditional Area Has Passed On
The Paramount Chief of the New Juaben Traditional Area in the Eastern region, Daasebre Professor Emeritus Oti Boateng, has been reported dead. According to reports, he passed on two weeks ago after a short illness, but the family and traditional rulers of the area, were waiting until today to make the official declaration.

Information reaching Mdk Banahene from different sources close to the New Juaben Palace in the Eastern Region of Ghana and also the family of now the late Omanhene of the New Juaben Traditional area have confirmed that, Daasebre Professor Emeritus Oti Boateng has passed on. Daasebre Oti Boateng was believed to have passed on two weeks ago after battling a short illness but due to customs and traditions, the New Juaben Traditional Council was expected to officially announce the death incident today according to Daily Graphic as reports says a visit to the palace yesterday showed the place was very quiet, with no activity at all.
