The Greater Accra Regional Police Command has arrested a 27 years old man for allegedly snatching a car from its owner at East Lego. Owusu is a mechanic and the victim brought his car to him for inspections and repair. As he inspected the car, he decided to test drive it and fled off with it, leaving the owner of the car behind.
Drivers and car dealers are being urged to be extra vigilant as the police are seeing a dramatic increase in cases of car snatching, particularly in the capital city of Accra. Car thieves have been prowling the Accra metropolis and everybody must be on the alert. The Greater Accra Regional Police Commander, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP) Iddi Seidu, who made the call said statistics at the regional police command show that car theft -snatching is on the increase in the metropolis.

A 2021 registered Chevrolet 4×4 vehicle was gutted in fire as the driver sped off the Pokuase Interchange this afternoon.
