The opposition National Democratic Congress received some good news this week when the National Communications Authority granted licenses to over a 100 stations who had their licenses taken 3 years ago. Two popular stations of Radio Gold and Radio XYZ were also given back their licenses to the joy of the massive NDC supporters.

The Member of Parliament for the good people of Ningo Prampram constituency and the main sponsor for a private bill on the LGBTQI phenomenon, Honourable Sam Nartey George has started a new fight against the Controller and Accountant General's Department. The lawmaker has vented his anger on the directive from the CAGD on the use of the Ghana Card by public workers as a basis to receive salaries.

Professor Takyiwaa, who part of the 18-member committee actively pushing for the legalization of same-sex relationships and marriages in Ghana has recently sparked massive stir, debates and arguments across all social media platforms after she boldly sent another brilliant message to government over LGBT brouhaha.
Last week and this week has been characterized by debates as to whether criminalizing homosexuality was the best way to go. Majority of Ghanaians have thrown their full support behind Ghanaian legislator, Sam George, so that the anti LGBTQ bill is passed as soon as possible. Also, some strong force consisting of lawyers and professors have provided logical explanation on why the bill may not be the best solution.
The communication team member for New Patriotic Party (NPP), Samuel Oduro Nyarko said, why are Ghanaians worrying themselves over the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and intersex bill (LGBTQI+ bill) as the 1992 constitution already criminalizes the act. Samuel Oduro Nyarko said, the 1992 constitution in section 104 (1)(b) states that, the law criminalizes “unnatural carnal knowledge” of which the authorities interpret as penile penetration of anything other than a vagina.
The plot keeps thickening as the debate grows over the future of LGBT in the country. Parliament is expected to debate the an anti-LGBT bill that has been presented before her by Sam George Nartey and 7 other colleagues. However, their fight has been met with some resistance as 18 powerful professionals led by lawyer Akoto Ampaw have resisted calls for Parliament to drop the bill and focus on more important issues.
Praises of all forms were showered on the member of Parliament for the Ningo Prampram constituency, Sam George, after his interview with the CNN journalist, Larry Madowo. Today, Sam George dropped a new information that Ghanaians did not know about on the Good Morning Ghana show, Metro TV.
The member of Parliament for the Ningo-Prampram Constituency, Honorable Sam Nartey George has revealed that, initially, there were four (4) members from the New Patriotic Party on the original anti-LGBTQ+ bill that was to be presented to Parliament but three (3) of them refused to append their signatures on the last minute because they had been warned by their leadership to stay away.
Today’s edition of “The Key Points” on TV3 was quite interesting as Dzifa Bampoe hosted Garry Nimako, Sam George and Cecil Sunkwa Mills who is the new Chairman of the Ghana Independent Broadcasters Association (GIBA). Topical on the discussions was the restoration of licenses to some 130 radio stations that was shutdown in the early years of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo’s first term for defaulting their licenses.
Their controversy surrounding the LGBTQ bill seems to have taken a new twist as those championing for the bill to be thrown out resort to using the Supreme Court to bring finality to the issue. The Akoto Ampaw-led group of academicians who are the crusaders seeking to have the bill quashed since they argue it is grounded on religious sentiment and not on objective.
All over the world one thing which is currently trending and has now turned into a debate, is the legalization of the LGBTQI plus. This fight for freedom of such activities has been in existence for a while and it seems Ghanaians, and some other countries don’t see the need for such thing to be accepted as a right.
As tensions rise over the debate on LGBT, Parliament is getting ready to discuss one of her biggest debates ever. Parliament will resume in 2 weeks and is set to have a second hearing of the debate. Voting on the debate is also set to happen during the second hearing.
For quite some time, the anti-LGBTQ bill, which attempts to criminalize homosexuality, has been on the airwaves. Many Ghanaians appear to be delighted with the bill, but others appear to disagree. Sam George was recently chastised by the mother of a transgender child for proposing such a law to parliament.

The Ghanaian US based investigative journalist, Kevin Ekow Taylor has revealed that member of parliament for Ningo Prampram constituency, Hon Samuel Nartey George did not make his case known on LGBTQ issue when called to speak on CNN. Kevin Taylor speaking on with all due respect show on loud silence TV today, Wednesday, 13th October, 2021 told Ghanaians that Hon Sam George did not answer the specific questions thrown to him when speaking to CNN but he was rather using his religion to answer questions which did not make his case known on social issues.
The Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram constituency, Sam George has slamed the the Majority of Parliament for his recent comments regarding the controversial anti-LGBTQ+ Bill which has been presented to Parliament for consideration. The vociferous NDC legislator accused Mr Kyei Mensah Bonsu of trying to use the back door to paint the bill with political colors after failing to support the it from the beginning.
Today, Sam George made some strange revelations about the majority leader's stance on the anti-LGBTQ bill presented to Parliament According to Sam George, the member of Parliament for the Suame Constituency who doubles as the Majority Leader and Minister of Parliamentary affairs, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, was exhibiting some traits which showed that he was not willing to co operate so that the bill translates into a law.
The member of parliament for Ningo Prampram Constituency, Sam Nartey George has finally revealed why there is only one member of parliament from the New Patriotic Party side who have signed for the passing of the ANTI-LGBTQ bill. Speaking on metro TV good morning Ghana show this morning with Randy Abbey, Sam George revealed that there was about four New Patriotic Party legislatures who signed their signatories to the bill but before the bill was presented to the bill, there was left with only one member of parliament standing, that is Ntim Fodjour.
