The Northern Regional Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Alhaji Issah Mobilla is reported dead following some illness. The Regional Chairman is said to have died at Tamale Teaching Hospital on Tuesday afternoon after battling with illness for some time at the Intensive Care Unit of the facility.

One person was shot dead and five others sustained gunshot wounds, after a sub-chief had been enskinned for the Bichachabi community.
