Farmers in the country are being celebrated today for their hardwork in providing foods which supports Ghanaians and also helps to boost the economy. It seems that the Assemblies more specifically the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) also decided to award the Best Farmer within the Metropolis. The Assembly did the little they could to appreciate the work of the farmers within the Metropolis and also to encourage others to be actively involved in farming.
I think agriculture is no more the backbone of the country's economy looking at how we treat our farmers. It is really devastating the way we do not uplift two professions in this country; teaching and farming. They give their all but we do not value their efforts.

Drivers in the Ashanti Region of Ghana has boycott the sit-down strike calming they did not see any high increment in fuel, AfricaWish.com report.
