On Friday, November 25, 2022, three hundred and eight officers were appointed into the senior officer corps of the Ghana Police Service by the vice president, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia. Some parts of Accra and the Ashanti Regional capital Kumasi have been flooded after it rained cats and dogs for several hours. This is not the first time such a disaster has occurred. In Accra, there was gridlock in areas such as Tesano, Shiashie, Okponglo, where the roads were submerged, causing heavy traffic.

Areas in Accra such as Christian Village, Teshi, Tesano, Shiashie, Okponglo, had their roads flooded by the rains causing heavy traffic. A “Picanto” vehicle took off from Kwame Nkrumah circle, heading to Lapaz in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. When the driver of the “Picanto” vehicle got to Tesano, a huge pothole was in the middle of the road so he steer the wheel to the other lane of the road and a sprinter bus from Lapaz, heading to Kwame Nkrumah circle was on a top speed so the driver couldn't see the “Picanto” vehicle ahead of him and unfortunately, they crashed with each other.
