The Bank of Ghana Hospital also known as The Bank Hospital was completed in 2017. The project was started by the former president John Dramani Mahama. The hospital is situated in Cantoment in Accra. As of November 2019, the hospital had been left empty for 2 years after completion, in a deteriorating state, after the New Patriotic Party assumed office in 2017 and claimed to be making an audit on the facilities to ensure value for money. Alfred Benjamin Crentsil, often known as A.B. Crentsil, was a legendary figure in Ghanaian highlife music. He died at the age of 79. On July 13, 2022, the musician famed for songs like Devil, Atia, Juliana, I Go Pay You Tomorrow, Papa Shamo, and Ayen, among other songs, passed away at The Bank Hospital in Accra.
