2021/22 Colleges of Education Academic Calendar And Fees Released By PRINCOF
The Conference of Principals of College of Education (PRINCOF) after it opened admissions for enrollment into the various public teacher training institutions has released the 2021/2022 Colleges of Education academic calendar. The 2021/2022 teacher training academic calendar, sighted on Teacher Trainees Association Of Ghana (TTAG) on their official Facebook page states that the calendar covers all activities for the first semester only including dates for the writing of semester quizzes and end of the semester examinations.

Teacher Trainees’ Set to hit the Street as Government Takes Bold Decision?
Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana (TTAG) has expressed their dissatisfaction on unpaid trainee allowance for the past seven(7) months, several assurances have been given by the education ministry to pay allowances to the teacher trainees, none has been successful. The Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana has called on Government to expedite action for the payment of their monthly stipends, this monthly stipend is what they use for their living expenses in school, student-teachers have become a burden on their families, they keep on demanding money from their families and borrowing from friends with the hope that, they will pay back with their monthly stipends.

Accept Postings To Rural Areas — Education Minister Charges Trained Teachers
Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, the Minister for Education has charged Newly Qualified Trained Teachers (NQT) to accept postings to all places, especially in the rural areas where their services are needed. Teachers trainees begins their demonstration in the school level, the trainees will gather at Accra, after their local level demonstration.

TTAG: Gives An Update On NTC Portfolio Assessment
The Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana says their attention has been drawn to messages and audio recordings circulating on social media platforms which seems to create fear and panic about the whole NTC Portfolio process of the newly trained teachers and that it's members should remain calm. In a statement on TTAG official Facebook page posted on Sunday 3rd October 2021, the Teacher Trainees Association said the portfolio assessment to be conducted by the National Teaching Council (NTC) has currently been suspended pending a new date for the process.

Student teachers across the 46 ( forty-six) colleges of education over some previous semesters have shown signs of worry and despair in their various affiliate universities over the delay of the release of previous semesters' examination results and some individuals whose resits exams have not been released to them.

NTC Postpones Portfolio Assessments For Newly Trained Teachers
The National Teaching Council (NTC) has rescheduled the date to conduct to portfolio assessment for newly trained teachers at their place of service, the Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana (TTAG) announced on yesterday (Wednesday 1st September 2021). TTAG in a communique sighted on their official Facebook page, it indicated that the postponement follows complaints from the trained teachers regarding the unfavourable time for the assessment as a result of the vacation of the primary schools.

TTAG Bashes Government Over Poor Conditions.
The members of the training teachers association of Ghana is doing protest on the poor working conditions of services. "There is still no payment for 7 months of allowance by the government "-Jonathan Dzunu ,National President TTAG. It was added that some students even goes to the extent of helping the workers at the pantry to cook the food for them to eat.This has been some complain they have been making for a long period of time but the government is not heeding to them.

CoE Trainees To Boycott End Of Semester Exams Over ALLAWA
The President of the Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana (TTAG) following the unpaid allowances due to teacher trainees in various Colleges of Education says no end of semester test will be conducted if the stipends are not paid. Jonathan Dzunu speaking on 3FM’s Sunrise show monitored by Khelly GH on Tuesday said there is a need for the National Conference of Principals of Colleges of Education to release funds for the payment of the allowances.

Good News: Teacher Training Allowance Paid
The National Executive Council of the Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana (TTAG) in a notice released today, Wednesday 22nd December 2021 has confirmed that the allowances of teacher trainees has been paid. In the notice they said, "The National Executive Council of the Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana will by this missive want to bring to your kind notice that 2 of the 6 months arrears of trainees allowance have been duly paid."

Majority Of Them Were Injured; Revealed By The Press And Information Secretary Of NUGS
Mr. Alexander Owusu Ansah who is the information secretary of the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS), has signed a press which was released as a result of a disheartening information from their headquarters. On Saturday 28th August, 2021, the National Secretariat of the Teacher Trainees' of Ghana under the auspices of the Women's Commissioner, Munirat Hassan organized a practical oriented women empowerment Seminar at Catholic Pastoral Centre, Koforidua. The seminar was centered on inculcating the spirit of effective and efficient use of teaching and learning Resources, providing practical solutions to educational problems in time of emergency, and securing financial independence and the culture of investment.

These Newly trained teachers are almost done with their mandatory national service to the country. They have barely two months to rap up their services.
