Coalition of Concerned Teachers Sacks Acting President King Ali Awudu

The Coalition of Concerned Teachers – Ghana (CCT-GH) has sacked its acting President King Ali Awudu indicating his involvement in the infamous Teachers Mate (TM 1) Laptop deal which the Union said it lacks Consultation, Transparency and Accountability. The Union in a press statement issued on December 22, 2021, indicated that it has experienced unwarranted court cases under the leadership of the current acting president, King Ali Awudu and no attempt have been made to settle issues to free the Union.

Passengers in Tamale and surrounding areas who wish to travel by commercial buses would have to make frantic efforts today to get to their destinations as waiting to do so tomorrow,[Monday, December 6] may spell doom for them since commercial bus drivers will not be working because of a sit-down strike.The Ghana Private Road Transport Union in a press release signed by Regional chairman, Alhaji Abubakari Alhassan Chandiba, have directed all their members within the region to hault operations by dawn tomorrow in order to press home their demands for government to remove all forms of taxes on petroleum products which in turn will enable reduction in prices of petrol and others at pump stations.

Via a demand letter dated September 3, 2021 which was issued on behalf of the Union by Lawyers for the client, Kwame A Boafo and Associates, the Attorney General's office was notified accordingly.
