The debate over the recommendations made by the three-member ministerial committee set up by the Ministry of Interior about the Ejura disturbances lingers on. The committee which was set up by the directive of the president at the back of disturbances that occurred following a clash between the military and the youth of Ejura during a protest after the murder of social activist, Ibrahim Mohammed, popularly called Kaaka, completed it works and made some recommendations.
The report by the Ejura Inquiry Committee has received severe criticism from a lot of Ghanaians for doing a shallow job. The family of the late Kaaka have also come out and rejected the reports of the Ejura Inquiry Committee through a press conference. According to the family, the report is just another propaganda that seeks to whitewash the government.

Following the directive given by His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, mandating the Interior Minister (Ambrose Dery) to set up a Committee that will inquire into the shooting of two persons and injuring of others during the Ejura incident, the Ashanti Regional Minisiter, Simon Osei-Mensah appeared before the said Committee today (July 6, 2021).
The President and CEO of the Institute for Security, Disaster and Emergency Studies, Dr. Ishmael Norman, has said that due to the relationship Professor Vladimir Antwi Danso has with the Ghana Army, he wished he hadn't accepted the position from the president to probe the killings that happened at Ejura.
