The body of man believed to have been gruesomely murdered and dumped in a cesspit at Battor in the North Tongu District of the Volta Region, has been uncovered. The body was found with the hands and thigh chopped off. The police have arrested and detained one Tetteh Ofoe, who they suspect, killed the man, believed to be in his 60s, and threw his remains into the cesspit to prevent any trace of him.

In the Volta Region, three people are being held by police for allegedly indulging in recruitment fraud in the ongoing security recruiting. Amega Bernard, who is 18 years old, Godson Wemegah, who is 18 years old, and Godsway Adzika, who is 21 years old, were arrested in Akatsi by the Volta Regional Police Command on September 14, 2021.

At Godokpui, a suburb of Ho, the Volta Regional Police Command detained 21 people suspected of being LGBTQI activists. According to police, they were holding a workshop on LGBTQI issues. The offenders ranged in age from 20 to 35 years old, with 16 women and five men.
