Amenfi West Municipal Chief Executive, Hon Lord Nana Tandoh, has led a team of taskforce to demolish dozens of structures used as camping base and business hub by commercial sex workers in the Municipality. The said activities are taking charge in the mining areas as the Nigerian-dominant business seem to satisfy some of the miners and inhabitants of the affected communities.
The level of protection that some armed robbers go through before they begin their operations is scary to the extent that they believe no bullet can bring them down. They sometimes have the belief that they have the power to vanish if matters turn rough, but the protection sometimes fails.

The police have not relented in their efforts in ensuring that armed robbers do not have a free day. Whenever they arise, the police will be there to ensure that they are either arrested or killed.
A deputy minister for Lands and Natural Resources, George Mireku Duker has, through phase two of the “Operation Halt”, saved the Tano river from the hands of illegal miners in the Western Region of Ghana, the Ministry has said. According to the Ministry, Mireku Duker together with a force undertaking the drive against illegal mining, pounced on a group of persons illegally mining at various “galamsey” sites.
