Drivers who ply the stretch between Sunyani and Techiman, Wenchi, Kintampo and Nkoranza have laid down a legal plan to embark on a serious demonstration against the government to announce their displeasure about the current state of the road. In fact, a journey of 20 minutes, all things being equal, from Sunyani to Chiraa can take commuters about 45 to an hour due to the deplorable state of the road.
According to reports from the Wenchi Constituency, an NPP Constituency executive allegedly unleashed about 16 machete wielding thugs to butcher some colleague party members. The main job of the thugs was to allegedly brutalise anybody who demands for accountability. Seventy-three (73) child mothers and pregnant school girls are writing the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in four districts – Efutu, Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam, Wenchi and Techiman South. In the Effutu district, 20 out of the 1,758 presented for the examination are pregnant and in Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam, there are 25 pregnant teenagers among the 1,451 females writing the examination, which ends tomorrow, Friday, November 19.

Five people have been admitted at the Wenchi Government Hospital following an accident this morning at Koase, a suburb of Wenchi. The five, identified as Emmanuel Acheampong, Eric Agyei, Yaw Kudoma, Elizabeth Wingadam and Ato Brakye, were involved in an accident when their sedan corolla vehicle collided with a tree.
The people of Wenchi constituency did not hear good news last week as a building collapsed and killed mother and child at Akrobi township which shocked the entire township in the Bono Region. According to report, the people living in crack buildings has been warned to demolish their buildings several times but they refused to demolish it and it has led to one of the houses collapsing and destroying people's lives and properties.
The Bono Regional Manager of the National Road Safety Authority, Mr Agyenim Boateng has disclosed that about 26 persons have been killed in road traffic crashes between July and September this year in the Bono region which is shocking. He also revealed that the total number of deaths in the region through road traffic crashes saw Sunyani leads with 13, Berekum 7, Wenchi 4 and Dormaa 2.

The outbreak of the yellow fever disease in the Savannah and Upper West regions has claimed 25 lives, the Ghana Health Service has confirmed. The outbreak which was initially detected in the Savannah region, has now spread to the Wa East district in the Upper West region, two more persons died at the Wenchi Methodist hospital in the Bono Region.
Ama Mary, believed to be in her early thirties has reportedly lost her life in Wenchi in Kintampo South District in the Brong Ahafo region. The thirty one years old woman allegedly died with her child on Monday 12th July 2021. The sad event was confirmed by Mr. Winston Gyan who is the Assembly man of the Akrobi Electoral Area.
A suspected armed robber was shot and killed by police in Wenchi, Bono, near the Wenchi graveyard on the Wenchi-Wa highway. According to DSP Eric Awudzivi, the Wenchi Municipal Police Commander, a police patrol squad on the Wenchi stretch of the Wenchi-Wa highway spotted some persons on the road flashing touch lights in the early hours of Friday and decided to slow down to aid them.
