In an effort to assess the global response to the COVID-19 pandemic the Director General of the World Health Organisation, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesos announced the establishment of the Independent Panel on Pandemic Preparedness and Response (IPPR). The Committee is to be co-chaired by former New Zealand Prime Minister Helen Clark and former President of Liberia Ellen Johnson Sirleaf in remarks to the WHO member countries, Director General Tedros Adchanom Ghebreyesus.
