As part of effort to beef up security along the Eastern Corridor enclave, plans are far advanced to construct a military camp at Bimbila in the Nanumba North District of the Northern Region. The Camp, to be sited on a 200 acre land will be one of the largest in the country and will provide security and military support for Municipalities and Districts such asYendi, Wulensi, Kpandai, Damango, Salaga and Kpassah among others.The traditional authorities of the Nanung Kingdom headed by the Regent of Bimbilla, Naa Yakubu Andani, have already released the land to aid the construction and today, high-powered military delegation from the Commandant of the Ghana Armed Forces in Accra were in Bimbilla to pay courtesy call on the Regent and to inspect the land.

The Omanhemaa of Nkoranza Traditional Council Nana Adutwumwaa Dudaa Kanii says homosexuality is an abomination on their land and as such any person who is caught practicing it would have to be charged to perform some rites and purge the community of the wrath of the gods.
