There is currently tension between residents of Nyohiny and a private developer over a parcel of land in the area. The parcel of land in question was used as a damping place for rubbish by residents of Nyohiny as a Zoomlion container was placed there. But, the Chief of Chogu, allegedly sold the plot of land to a private developer to erect a container on the land.
